Locke graphic novel?

Ken wrote Sonic and Knuckles as published by Archie Comics for over 13 years. So anything Sonic and Knuckles goes here!

I'm not sure if Ken even had any of the concept art out. There just wasn't enough time to put a lot of stuff together, considering they just closed on a new house and had to get their stuff moved from the one they were leasing. Never move before a large convention...it really plays havoc with timing. ;)

This Locke novel sounds like a project I'd LOVE to be part of. It's about time we got to see more of him.

I really don't see how Ken can make a graphic novel out of this without being sued to oblivion by SEGA. He'd have to radically change their appearances and remove all of the original locations and other SEGA concepts.

Unless, of course, SEGA allows Ken to make something with Knuckles and whatnot.

If Paul Cornell can write Doctor Who stories exclusively online while not 'officially' working for the TV series, there's no reason why Ken can't, though matters would change if he intends to gain profit off the novel.

Even if it is a fan fic, It still sounds MILES better then any thing Ian has ever done in his lifetime.

Plus, fan fics have been a nice and wonderful antidepressant to Ian's run.

Wow, that does seem like a mighty big feat to accomplish, considering Ian is one of the most popular writers of the comic

but then again, so is Ken. I'd have to say at their best, the two writers are equal in talent, but for different reasons. Ken was more of a person who could come up with original ideas for the mythos of Sonic, Ian is excellent in bringing in all that was established by previous writers and expanding upon it.

I mean seriously, there are still tons of other characters that have been forgotten that Ian is bringing back and making interesting.

I like both's contributions to the comic.

I seriously don't want to turn this into a flame war over who is the better writer. I'll just say that I've read Ian's "Other M" comic, and compared it to his current work, and I have got to wonder how he got hired, in the first place.

I'm still wondering how the copyright war between Ken and Archie is going to affect this. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Well no one at Archie seems to be worried that this will end in something bad for Archie, so hopefully both Archie and Ken will get what they deserve.
